Charming original mill house providing holiday accommodation for up to six people.  The mill house has been renovated and comfortably furnished to provide cosy, welcoming self-contained accommodation.  The extensive gardens surrounding the cottage are glorious, and filled with bird life.

The cottage is an original mill house, built early in the twentieth century.  It has been renovated and decorated to provide very comfortable holiday accommodation, with three bedrooms that sleep up to six people.  The property is a large, peaceful, attractive corner block, with well-maintained beautiful gardens.  It is located on the edge of town, overlooking the State Forest, yet an easy walk from the centre of Dwellingup, and the Hotham Valley train.  It is a 10-minute drive from the entrance to Lane Poole Reserve & the Nanga Bush Camp

The mill house is wonderful in any season.  In winter, after an invigorating walk in the jarrah forest, relax in front of a wood fire with a glass of wine, while a fragrant stew bubbles on the stove.  In summer, enjoy a cool drink on the front verandah overlooking the bush, after a day spent exploring the nearby Murray River in Lane Poole Reserve. Spring and autumn offer wonderful weather to explore the bush, discover wildflowers, including many varieties of orchids, and relax in the bird-filled garden.

You can remain comfortable in the mill house, no matter what the weather.  There is a wood-burning fireplace with a glass door, as well as reverse cycle air-conditioning / heating in the lounge room.  The two larger bedrooms and the kitchen have ceiling fans installed.  Also portable heaters and fans are provided, according to the season.

Dwellingup Mill House is a three-bedroom cottage with one living room and one bathroom, as well as a second (outside) toilet.  It is an ideal size for family holiday accommodation, or for a group of friends to get away together for a few days.

The comfortable lounge room has a slow-combustion wood burning fire place and reverse cycle air-conditioning.  The well-stocked kitchen has all the appliances and crockery you will need if you choose to eat in.

There are three bedrooms: the main bedroom has a queen bed; the second bedroom has two single beds; the small third bedroom has a double bed.  Beds are made up with quality bed linen and warm quilts and blankets.  In the bathroom, there is continuous hot water for your bath or shower.

The north-facing front verandah is ideal for enjoying the bird life or relaxing with a drink as the sun disappears behind the trees.  At the back of the cottage there is a large paved undercover area, with a gas barbecue and outdoor dining setting.

An iron and ironing board are provided.  However, unless by prior arrangement, guests have no access to laundry facilities.

Please note that no smoking is permitted, and no pets are allowed.

The quoted price is fully inclusive.  There is no extra charge for linen & bedding, nor for cleaning.
